Monoprints

I enjoy working on paper and the surprises endemic to the indirect process of printmaking.  I have studied various etching techniques at Crown Point Press.  In my own studio, I enjoy the spontaneity of making monotypes as a compliment to my painting process.    I am lucky to be the caretaker of two presses and I often invite others to join me for a day or two experimenting with soy based inks and found collage materials.   These sessions can lead to series of singular prints, some which are shown here.
